Since April 2024, S.C.P. Japan has been running a football team for girls with disabilities in Chiba Prefecture. Currently, 14 players are actively participating in a way that suits their individual needs and preferences.
To mark the start of the new school year, we recently held a Parent & Player Meeting for all current team members and their families.
During the meeting, we shared important updates and had the opportunity to connect and exchange thoughts in a different setting from our usual practice sessions. The agenda included:
- ・Introduction of staff members
- ・Explanation of our team values and activity policy
- ・Overview of safeguarding practices, including safe and respectful online communication
- ・Q&A and feedback from participants

Our New Team Name is “FC RESIA”!
As a highlight of the meeting, we were delighted to announce the official team name!
We are also planning to design the team emblem together with the players — stay tuned!
(Please note: The image shown is not our team emblem, but a logo promoting safe online communication.)
New Team Name: FC RESIA
About the Name:
RESIA is inspired by the word “Resilience”, meaning the strength to stand back up in the face of challenges. The name reflects our commitment to empowering players to move forward, with confidence and authenticity, no matter the circumstances.
(FC stands for “Football Club.”)
We will continue to build a supportive and inclusive environment together with our players, families, and everyone involved.
We are also actively recruiting new members for this year — if you’re interested, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
