「スポーツを通じた国際交流プログラム」開催レポート International Exchange Program Through Sport
一般社団法人S.C.P. Japanは、筑波大学・TIAS2.0、GLOBALTREE・ハッピーライフケア株式会社／ハッピーホールディングス株式会社と連携し、障がいのある子どもたちを対象とした「スポーツを通じた国際交流プログラム」を実施しました。
本プログラムはGLOBALTREEとのアライアンスパートナーシップの一環として、昨年度にスタートをした事業で、今年度はさらに内容をパワーアップした形で2年目を迎えました。
2025年9月20日から10月11日にかけて、茨城県・栃木県にて全3回実施しました。
プログラム目的:
- 多様性を尊重するインクルーシブな社会に向けて、他者と積極的・対話的に関われる人を育むこと
- 障がいのある子どもたちに、多様性を尊重し包括的な体験機会を提供すること
- 国際交流を通じて視野を広げ、互いの文化や考え方を理解し合う機会を創出すること
プログラムの特徴
① スポーツを通じた自然な交流
鬼ごっこやリレーなど、ルールがシンプルで誰もが参加しやすい活動を中心に実施しました。勝ち負けを目的とするのではなく、一緒に楽しむことを大切にし、言葉に頼りすぎないコミュニケーションを意識しました。活動の中では、嬉しさや悔しさ、達成感などさまざまな感情を共有しながら、共通のゴールを目指す体験が生まれました。その積み重ねを通して、言葉や文化の違いを超えたつながりが育まれていきました。また、子どもたちが安心して参加できるよう、活動の流れを視覚的に示すコミュニケーションボード（イラストやアイコン）を活用しました。
② 「遊び」を通じた異文化理解
留学生の国の遊びを体験するだけでなく、子どもたち自身が日本の遊びを紹介する時間もつくりました。最初は少し緊張していた子どもたちも「こうやるんだよ」と身振り手振りで伝えるうちに、自然と笑顔に。教える側・教わる側が入れ替わりながら、双方向のやりとりが生まれました。遊びを通じて、共に笑い、挑戦する瞬間が何度も見られました。
③ 三者連携による実施体制
企業・大学・団体がそれぞれの専門性や想いを持ち寄り、共に事業をつくりあげました。準備段階から対話を重ね、「子どもたちにとってより良いプログラム」を考え続けたことが、活動後の満ち溢れた子どもたちの笑顔につながったと感じています。
こうした連携の形は、他の地域でも広げていける可能性を持つモデルケースになりました。

・とても楽しい経験でした！留学生として、母国のゲームを共有し、遊ぶ機会を得られたことに心から感謝しています。子どもたちが楽しそうに遊び、私の文化に興味を示し、日本で遊んでいるゲームを教えてくれた姿は、本当に心温まるものでした。これは留学生なら誰もが経験すべきことだと思います。
・このチームの一員として知識と経験を子供たちと共有できることを大変誇りに思います。異文化交流プログラムの一環として、自国の遊びを紹介し、他国の遊びも学べることを大変嬉しく思っています。
スポーツと遊びを通じて、言葉を超えたコミュニケーションが生まれ、互いの違いを認め合う時間となりました。
成果
本事業を通じて、企業・団体・大学がそれぞれの強みを活かしながら連携する体制を構築することができ、継続的に展開可能な持続可能モデルの基盤を整えることができました。
また、海外の文化や遊びを一方的に紹介する形ではなく、子どもたち自身が日本の遊びを紹介する機会を設けることで、双方向型の国際交流を実現しました。さらに、活動の中で子どもたちが自ら発信し、伝える経験を重ねることで、主体的に関わる機会を創出することができました。
S.C.P. Japanはこれからも、共生社会の実現に向けて、スポーツを通じたインクルーシブな取り組みを推進してまいります。
Connecting Children Through Diversity, Dialogue, and Play
S.C.P. Japan, in collaboration with the University of Tsukuba (TIAS2.0), GLOBALTREE, Happy Life Care Co., Ltd., and Happy Holdings Co., Ltd., implemented an International Exchange Program Through Sport for children with disabilities.
Launched last year as part of an alliance partnership with GLOBALTREE, the program entered its second year with an expanded and enhanced structure. From September 20 to October 11, 2025, three sessions were held across Ibaraki and Tochigi Prefectures.
Program Objectives
The program was designed to:

Foster individuals who can actively and respectfully engage in dialogue toward an inclusive society that values diversity

Provide children with disabilities opportunities for inclusive experiences grounded in respect for diversity

Broaden perspectives through international exchange and create opportunities to understand different cultures and ways of thinking
Key Features of the Program
1. Natural Interaction Through Sport
Activities such as tag and relay games were selected for their simple rules and accessibility, allowing everyone to participate with confidence. Rather than focusing on competition or winning, the program emphasized enjoying activities together and communicating beyond language.
Through shared moments of joy, frustration, and achievement, participants worked toward common goals. These cumulative experiences fostered connections that transcended linguistic and cultural differences.
To ensure that children felt secure and comfortable, visual communication boards featuring illustrations and icons were used to clearly indicate the flow of activities.
2. Cross-Cultural Understanding Through Play
In addition to experiencing games from the home countries of international students, children were given opportunities to introduce traditional Japanese games themselves.
Although some children were initially shy, they gradually began explaining, “This is how you do it,” using gestures and expressions. Smiles emerged naturally as teaching and learning roles shifted back and forth, creating genuine two-way interaction.
Through play, participants laughed together, challenged themselves together, and built meaningful shared experiences.
3. A Collaborative Implementation Model
This initiative was made possible through close collaboration among corporate partners, academic institutions, and nonprofit organizations, each contributing their expertise and shared vision.
Continuous dialogue during the preparation phase ensured that the program remained centered on what would be most meaningful for the children. The joyful and confident expressions seen after each session reflected the strength of this collaborative approach.
This partnership model demonstrates strong potential for expansion to other regions as a sustainable and replicable framework.

Outcomes and Impact
Through this initiative, we established a collaborative framework in which companies, universities, and nonprofit organizations leveraged their respective strengths. This foundation enables the program to develop into a sustainable and continuously expandable model.
Rather than presenting international culture in a one-sided manner, the program emphasized mutual exchange by creating opportunities for children to introduce Japanese games themselves. Through repeated experiences of expressing and sharing their ideas, children were encouraged to participate proactively and confidently.
S.C.P. Japan will continue to promote inclusive initiatives through sport, working toward the realization of a truly inclusive society where diversity is embraced and celebrated.
